Jenny Dancy is senior counsel in Tressler’s Litigation Practice Group. She focuses her practice in general defense litigation, personal injury, constitutional torts, local government law issues, transportation, property damage, insurance coverage and employment law. Jenny relies upon her vast courtroom, deposition, motion practice, discovery and appellate experience to handle all aspects of litigation. She has effectively litigated cases in counties throughout Missouri and Texas as well as in various federal and appellate courts. Jenny has had positive outcomes through alternative dispute resolution, including mediation and has also had many successful dispositive motions in both state and federal courts.
Danita Davis is Co-Chair of Tressler’s Insurance Practice Group. She also practices with the Litigation Defense Practice Group. Danita represents insurers in matters regarding first party property residential and commercial disputes, commercial general liability coverage, professional liability coverage, liquor liability coverage and employment practices liability coverage, among others. She advises insurers regarding a broad range of matters involving state and federal law throughout the country. She regularly appears in court on both routine and contested matters, participates in oral argument and conducts all facets of discovery and trial preparation. She has many favorable outcomes through dispositive motion practice in cases involving coverage and liability issues. Danita also has experience in alternative dispute resolution, having represented clients in settlement conferences and at mediations and arbitrations. Additionally, she has experience defending policyholders in suits alleging a wide range of claims, including but not limited to, premises liability, general negligence, vicarious liability, wrongful acts, contractual disputes, business torts, wrongful employment practices and wrongful acts and intentional conduct.
Michael DiSantis is a partner in the Insurance and Litigation practices at Tressler. He focuses his practice in the areas of insurance coverage analysis and insurance coverage litigation, assisting insurance companies in resolving complex disputes. He has represented insurance companies in litigated coverage matters in federal and state courts throughout the country, including those involving advertising injury, personal injury, bodily injury and property damage. His experience encompasses coverage for environmental risks, toxic torts, asbestos, habitational risks, construction defects, consumer class actions, general coverage and allegations of bad faith. Michael also has experience in first-party property litigation and Section 1983 cases.
Garrett Dudt is an associate attorney in Tressler’s Insurance Practice Group. Garrett’s practice includes representing insurance carriers and insureds in a wide range of insurance coverage matters involving policies such as commercial general liability policies, commercial umbrella/excess policies, professional liability policies and business owners’ policies. His practice work consists mostly of analyzing insurance coverage issues, assessing insurance carriers’ risks and preparing coverage opinions and position letters.
William McVisk focuses his practice on complex insurance coverage litigation and hospital law and medical liability at Tressler. He has handled all areas of coverage and bad faith litigation, especially third-party bad faith and coverage litigation involving commercial general liability, professional liability coverages as well as personal lines coverages such as auto and homeowners coverages.
Linda Bondi Morrison is the Managing Partner of Tressler’s Orange County, California office. She represents insurance companies in complex litigation and coverage matters involving general and professional liability, excess exposures and extracontractual liability, including environmental and toxic torts, construction defects and advertising/personal injury.
She has extensive experience in matters involving complex insurance programs and the allocation and coverage challenges they present. Linda has represented clients as trial counsel in a number of significant, complex matters in California and across the country.
In addition to providing litigation counsel, Linda is regularly called on by insurance companies to assist with policy drafting and settlement or resolution of non-litigated matters involving complex questions of insurance coverage and liability. She has successfully handled mediations and arbitrations with multimillion-dollar exposures, procuring favorable settlements for her clients.
Jennifer L. Smith is a partner in the Litigation Practice Group at Tressler. In her two decades of representing clients in state and federal courtrooms, she has been engaged to litigate a wide range of disputes ranging from complex commercial litigation to aviation accidents. Her representation has included the defense of class actions and parties in multidistrict (MDL) toxic tort litigation.
She is valued by her clients for her exhaustive preparation, her personable presentation and the results that she achieves in the courtroom. With her focus on courtroom advocacy, she handles all facets of litigation, from inception through trial. She has achieved success for her clients in numerous cases through the successful presentation of dispositive motions in both state and federal courts. She is also skilled and experienced in alternative dispute resolution including court convened conferences, mediation and arbitration.
Rosa M. Tumialán is a partner in Tressler’s Chicago office. Rosa is a member of the firm’s Insurance Practice Group and focuses her practice on insurance coverage and bad faith litigation. She is an accomplished defense attorney with nearly twenty years of insurance coverage experience. Rosa’s insurer-related services include coverage opinion analysis and representing insurers in complex coverage disputes relating to personal and commercial lines, third party claims, surplus lines as well as claims handling practices and extracontractual liability. Rosa also assists with drafting coverage documents for insurance pools and counsels clients in the administration of same. Her practice also includes serving as national coordinating coverage counsel for insurance clients who rely on her to develop and implement strategies nationwide in response to pattern litigation. Rosa is an accomplished class action defense lawyer and appellate practitioner, having appeared and argued in both state and federal courts nationwide.
Alyssa Vranak serves as a law clerk at Tressler LLP. She is a third-year law student at the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law where she is a member of UIC Review of Intellectual Property and serves as the Candidacy Editor. In addition, she is the Executive Justice of the UIC Moot Court Honors Council Executive Board. She looks forward to continuing her legal career at Tressler LLP, which includes joining Tressler’s Insurance Practice Group as an associate attorney upon passage of the July 2023 Illinois Bar Exam.
